I’m Jonathan Packer, a documentary style wedding photographer serving Rhode Island and all of New England. I create warm, story-driven wedding imagery for couples who care more about connection than performance. While I find myself primarily in the Newport, Portsmouth and Bristol, RI areas, I have the privilege of capturing couple’s stories all over Rhode Island and New England; From the oceans to the mountains. My passion lies in preserving the most meaningful moments from one of the most important days of a couple’s life while making it feel effortless.
I believe in capturing natural, honest moments as they unfold. I provide clear yet calming guidance in the moments that require them to keep my couples along with their families and guests relaxed. With me by your side, you won’t have to worry about your day being documented to tell the story. Whether it’s a quiet moment between vows or the excitement of the first dance, I’ll be there to document it all with care and attention.
Outside of photography, I’m an avid runner and love the peace of hiking and camping in the White Mountains. The camera often comes along for these adventures as I really enjoy getting to document meaningful adventures and moments. These passions help me bring an energy and sense of ease into every wedding I photograph, knowing the power and importance of capturing the pieces of our lives that mean more to us.
