About Jonathan

I’m Jonathan Packer, an editorial and documentary style wedding and elopement photographer serving Rhode Island and all of New England. While I find myself primarily in the Newport, Portsmouth and Bristol, RI areas, I have the privilege of capturing couple’s stories all over New England; From the oceans to the mountains. My passion lies in preserving the most meaningful moments on one of the most important days of a couple’s life.

My approach is simple: I want your day to be effortless, fun, and full of love and excitement, so I aim to make your photography experience feel relaxed and natural. I believe in capturing moments as they naturally unfold. With me by your side, you won’t have to worry about your day being documented to tell the story. Whether it’s a quiet moment between vows or the excitement of the first dance, I’ll be there to document it all with care and attention.

I also love photographing families and their little ones as they grow. My aim is to always get kids laughing so I can photograph their genuine smile. I offer mini and full photo sessions all around the Rhode Island and South Eastern Massachusetts areas.

Outside of photography, I’m an avid runner and love the peace of hiking and camping in the White Mountains. The camera often comes along for these adventures as I really enjoy getting to document meaningful adventures and moments. These passions help me bring an energy and sense of ease into every wedding I photograph, knowing the power and importance of capturing the pieces of our lives that mean more to us.
